This is an email thread between me and my friend's 62 yr old mother in law. She sent him an email (of which he forwarded to me - not included, but referenced) questioning whether Obama unfairly received financial aid from Occidental college since he's A - black benefited from affirmative action and B - because he's not even a citizen.... of course it was bogus - and I called her out on it. Notice her initial response was that although she sent it out - it doesn't mean she believes it. Then she goes on to incriminate all educated black men - some good shit - the typical anatomy of a right wing windbag. AWESOME!!

I watched it all – what a good speaker.
Unfortunately I didn’t hear any policy statements other than “we need to get back to the taverns” and “our government is tyrannical.” So I guess I’m unclear on where he really stands – aside from being pro-country (which I assume is the opposite as Obama’s pro-muslim, anti-country stance). I take it he would be for eliminating Medicare – given his brush with “outcomes” is that something you would favor as well?

So it’s not a fact that he was unfairly aided because he’s black (aside from your anecdotal personal experience).
Obama = Constitutional law professor (and freely elected based on merit to head the Harvard Law Review). I’d say he could recite the constitution backwards – you just don’t have the same interpretation.
I’m just curious – where was all this anger under Bush? No one from the Glenn Beck movement has ever been able to reconcile this inconsistency for me.

This is still a free country thank goodness for people like myself and Tim. I have yet to meet a black educated man raised by a white women and white family who did not receive affirmative action. I have tried to find out this information about Barak Obama but have been denied access to this information. I guess when you're the President you can hide most anything! I even asked a Supreme Court Justice Friend of Mine and he said it would be impossible at this point in his career to access.
As far as his achievments, I was very excited to learn about them prior to his election and happy that a 1/2 black and 1/2 white person would be President. We all forget that he is also 1/2 white; however, all he wants to do is trash our Constitution.

I’m curious if you know whether Obama was a recipient of affirmative action and whether he personally was picked over a more worthy white student at Occidental (you said - Obama is a recipient of the free-lunch crowd in college. I know this for a fact). From my recollection, Occidental was a fall back school in case you didn’t get into your fall back school (hence not all that competitive).
But I would love to see how you personally know that Obama received preferential treatment – either at Occidental, Columbia or Harvard. Of course as a undocumented citizen born in Kenya he clearly tricked some people.
But in any event, Barack Obama clearly showed a superior intellectual capability…whether you currently agree with his politics or not….

ALL I KNOW IS THE FOLLOWING: Obama is a recipient of the free-lunch crowd in college. I know this for a fact. When I worked at the University of Santa Clara in Santa Clara CA, alongside Fess Parker, is when affirmative Action was first developed. We had to allow a black student with a 1.9 in and tell a white student with a 3.2 that he could not be admitted because of Affirmative Action.
I believe in equality for all. . . equality based upon achievement. . . not favoritism or "feeling sorry for someone." A free lunch is what a bunch including white single women with children expects "someone" else to provide. Self worth and this country are based upon achievement...not a "free-lunch." Hard work is rewarded and is slowly disappearing! This idea that schools teach equality based upon the norm is ludicrous and a ruination of the “human spirit” of evolutionary growth and entrepreneurship
